I wasn't expecting the chocolate coating to actually taste like Lotus, but it does — that caramelized biscuit flavor really comes through. The dates underneath are plump and soft, not dried out at all. I've been keeping a couple in my bag for the 3pm slump and they hit the spot every time.

I was a little skeptical about chocolate-covered dates, but the velvety coating is genuinely smooth and the caramel really rounds out the date's natural sweetness. Each piece is satisfyingly rich without being cloying, and I've already gone through half the bag in two days.
