The hazelnut inside is still whole and crunchy, and the kunafa layer adds this toasty, slightly savory crunch before you hit the chocolate. I've been rationing the box so I don't finish it in one sitting.

I wasn't sure about the kunafa wrapped around a hazelnut, but the ratio is perfect — the pastry shatters and the hazelnut comes through right after. The chocolate shell is thin enough that it doesn't overwhelm everything.

The kunafa layer stays crispy even after a few days in the fridge, which I didn't expect. Each hazelnut is pretty big, so two or three is genuinely enough with coffee.
